I just kicked off a task that will take several hours to complete. If I go to sleep now, it should fail in about five minutes from now. Maybe I should restart the process with an error handler that sends a text message or calls my phone or plays a song whenever something goes wrong. But it can’t be just any song; it must be not only appropriate for the job of fixing whatever broke, but also suitable to my mood. “Rectifier” from Tron might be a good fit, so long as I remember my work isn’t nearly as epic.
