There are plenty of people chasing the latest JavaScript frameworks, and there are too few trumpeting the benefits of progressive enhancement. Accessibility? Who needs it?

If you think of the Web as just another software platform, or if you’re just new to the Web–remember the Web Standards Project?—then I would encourage you to slow down a little bit and dig into the history of the Web. Much of what I see today looks like the mistakes I remember from yesterday.
