Nicholas Lindley

If you were to see my small collection of books, and if you were to hear how many of those I have never read, you probably wouldn’t say writing is something I’d enjoy. But I do.

Writing is also a skill I haven’t put much effort into. If I am to improve, I must read more. And since time is scarce, the literature I choose must be consumed deliberately.

With any skill, there are the challenges of knowing what you don’t know and how to select incrementally more demanding tasks. It’s the just-out-of-reach that makes us improve.
