I got really spoiled not having neighbors for awhile. I could practice at home at any time without worrying about bothering anybody. The neighbors that now live in the other half of this duplex have been known to bang on the walls when the music is slightly over a medium volume, and the banging starts very promptly—before I even would have a chance to turn it down if I realized it was too loud.
So, I know find myself practicing less because it's not as convenient. I could use the Silent Brass, but that just changes the feel too much. I could make it to the Fine Arts Center before it gets locked, but that requires more time management—not a forte of mine—and more driving. I could also practice in my car, but that's just not comfortable. And soundproofing is much too expensive for my budget. A new home is also outside my budget.
What creative ways do you have for practicing at night?

It's too bad you don't have
It's too bad you don't have my next door neighbor. He's told my friend Elizabeth (his girlfriend) that he likes my playing, and he told me that I've inspired him to consider playing his saxophone again. I'm not sure what the others in our building think about this though.
When I was at home, sometimes my parents would have me play outside (either the backyard or the football field) or in Grandma's garage. Neighbors can't knock on the wall if you play in the backyard.
P.S. Your new layout is kinda cheesy. What motivated the change?
