New Job

Well, I have a new job starting the first of June. It will be for Elk City Public Schools, and it's not related to music. My official job title is "Technology Technician," and I'll be taking care of the district's technology: computers, networks, etc. It comes with the same benefits and retirement plan as a teacher, but the only drawback is that it is a year-round job. However, they will provide me with an office, a car to drive between campuses, and a cell phone to use for business.

This doesn't mean that I won't be doing anything with music, just not during the workday. I'm going to try setting up a trumpet studio, and hopefully we'll be able to put together a quintet or something. Besides music, I'll probably do a little contract computer work on the side as I have time.

This also means I need to start house hunting. If I can't find anything anything I like, I'll probably find a lot and build. I can get a pretty good deal on house plans, and I'd have a little more control over what I get, so that's an option, too.

Anyway, I'd better get back to studying for a CLEP so I'll be able to graduate by August.

Congrats
